The National Land and Water Resources Audit's estuary assessment compiled readily available data and used qualitative and quantitative methods. The assessment provides detail on the condition of Australian estuaries including the amount of modification from the pristine state, drivers of change, susceptibility to further change, and key management needs.\\n\\nThe Audit worked in partnership with State agencies to assist in the identification of national information needs. The data for estuary assessment was collated primarily by state and federal agencies around the country, including:\\n- Cooperative Research Centre for Coastal Zone, Estuary and Waterway Management\\n- Geoscience Australia\\n- CSIRO Marine Research\\n- CSIRO Land and Water\\n- University of Queensland\\n- Department of Lands, Panning and Environment, Northern Territory\\n- Environmental Protection Agency, Queensland\\n- Department of Primary Industries, Queensland\\n- Department of Land and Water Conservation, New South Wales\\n- Environmental Protection Agency, Victoria\\n- Department of Primary Industries, Water and the Environment, Tasmania\\n- Environmental Protection Agency, South Australia\\n- Water & Rivers Commission, Western Australia
